Bird Hill Farm began as a small Bed and Breakfast in Ware, MA. The Residency Program at Bird Hill Farm was founded in the summer of 2019 by Vance Chatel in memory of his partner, Jason Wysocki and his family, without whom, Bird Hill Farm would not be possible. Jason’s spirit of generosity lives on at Bird Hill Farm. Our main objective with this program is to nurture and support the creativity and vision of artists and writers in this beautiful farmhouse setting.. Bird Hill Farm is working to cultivate a culture of community, hospitality, art and design, and sustainability on this beautiful old farm in a semi-rural Massachusetts mill town at the gateway to the Pioneer Valley.
Still a young program, The Residency Program at Bird Hill Farm emerged naturally as our Bed and Breakfast grew over the years, First we added workshops, classes, and retreats to our list of services we were providing to travelers fromm around the world–a strong culture of artistic expression emerged.
