Guest Residency
This option is perfect for working artists looking to employ time away from their regular schedules to focus on some work at Bird Hill Farm. Time slots can vary from 2-8 weeks and are available all year round at a price designed for the working artist, Decisions for guest residencies are made within two weeks of your completed application. Guest residencies should be planned with at least 8 weeks notice unless space is available. For more information, check out our options/application page.
Fellow Residency
The fellow residency option is a quarterly or seasonal award given to a jury-selected artist. Fellow Residencies can run from 1 to 3 months, depending on the artists schedule and ability to devote time at Bird Hill Farm. More time may also be available if needed. The application process for our fellows is more detailed than the guest residency and decisions are announced 2-4 weeks after applications are received. Fellows pay no fees for their stay and their residency includes an optional social practice aspect designed in collaboration with Bird Hill Farm.
Invited Resident
Invited guests come to us via friends, colleagues, guests, and associates of Bird Hill Farm. Invited residents are recommended to us by inspired friends. As our program grows, we will invite random people we encounter along the way. Maybe a friend has a traveling artist that needs a place to crash and get a little work done while they’re at it. BHF will especially welcome artists from minority, marginalized, and outside cultures for this opportunity.
